Which QuickBooks plan do I need?
It depends on your business needs:
- Essentials: the base version of QuickBooks. Ideal for very small businesses, real‑estate entities, or holding companies.
- Plus: the most widely used plan. Includes project tracking, simple inventory, and class/location‑based reporting.
- Advanced: the most powerful version, with custom roles, approval workflows, custom fields, and advanced reporting.

When a customer is activated through FOR:TECH, they become a bespoke customer.
In this case, we always activate FOR:LEDGER PRO plus a package of consulting hours for data imports, setup, and guided onboarding.
Installation is native (no external connectors required) and touches compliance‑critical settings, so correct configuration is essential.
If you install it on your own, it’s easy to misconfigure QuickBooks. For this reason:
- We offer free support for self‑service customers if issues arise.
- We always recommend a basic activation with FOR:TECH to ensure a smooth and error‑free setup.
Self‑service procedure:
- Create a FOR account.
- Connect your QuickBooks subscription.
- Verify your company information.
- Add your tax/VAT identification number.
- Proceed with the purchase and do not close QuickBooks until the setup completes.
